Butterflies Rule!!!!!!!!

Well it's cold and blustery out today, so what would be better than to post a bright spring card to warm everyone up!  My card today features a great Eat Cake Graphics image entitled "Butterflies Rule".

I stamped and colored her with my Copic markers, fussy cut the entire image, and then placed it on top of a beautiful Memory Box butterfly die.  The body of the butterfly was covered with microfine glitter using the burnishing technique, and then colored with Copics.  The card front features an older Prima paper with the sentiment handwritten randomly across it.

Cool Beach Scene

This month has been a lot of fun working with One Crazy Stamper's sponsor images by YOUR NEXT STAMP, and my last card for the month features the Cool Beach Owl Set.

For the card front I decided to use my Copic Airbrush System to create a beach scene, using BG01, BG02, and E55.  I then colored the image with my Copic Sketch markers, fussy cut it, and popped it up on the card front.  I added white highlights with the Sakura white glaze pen, and used one of the included sentiments from the stamp set to make a frame around the card.  The sun accent is from my stash!

Christmas Love

Time to show another Christmas creation using a Sugar Nellie ( Funky Kits ) image!

Today's card is "On the Wings of Love", a digital image available at Funky Kits.  After printing the image on Copic Xpress It paper, and coloring it with Copics, I used a Spellbinder die to cut the finished image. Smooch Illuminate Top Coat adds shimmer to the wings, blue pearls created with a Viva Décor Pearl pen and hints of gold added with a Metallic pen add the finishing touches to the image. The dp is from Carta Bella, and the snowflake border is from Whimsy Stamps

This sweet image is the YNS image Kyle the Koala Bear, which I colored with Copics.  I started by coloring the body, and then using the terry towel technique with Copic Blender Solution, creating the fur texture of the bear.  After completing the coloring I used a Spellbinder die to cut out and mat the image.  The dp is from an older Authentique collection, while both of the sentiments are included with the image.

The Kid in Us All

Once again I have used my Copic markers to color today's card, which is another digital image from Sugar Nellie entitled "Penguin Party".

After the image was colored I used Polar White Flower soft on the fur of the hat, and added sparkle to the ribbon and presents with a Sakura Clear Star pen.

Little One

I still have a couple of Sugar Nellie Christmas themed cards to show you all, but for today's post I am switching stamp companies to another of my favorites - Lili of the Valley.  Just before Christmas LOTV announced some new baby stamps and I just could not resist, so here's the first of six new images.

This adorable image is entitled "Balloon Basket" which I have colored with Copics then cut out using a gorgeous Spellbinder die.  The image was then popped up on dp from Authentique's Delightful collection and some beautiful lace from my stash.

Fun and Excitement

So for today's post I have another Sugar Nellie digital image entitled Gift Wrapping - the image was part of the Winter Wonderland release, but since there was nothing on the image that screamed Christmas, I choose to color her up in bright spring colors.

I colored her with Copics, added sparkle with a Sakura Star pen, Smooch Illuminate on the wings, and added gold pearls throughout the card front with a Viva Décor Pearl pen.  The card base was made using multiple Spellbinders Grand Dies.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp.

Elfie Christmas!

As promised last week here's another Sugar Nellie digital image that I colored up with my Copics!  This is Elf Made Magic.

After coloring the image I used Smooch to give sparkle to the wings, some of the  Spellbinders Holly accent dies, and a gold Viva Decor Pearl pen to add depth to the card front.  The sentiment is an older Just Rite stamp that I colored with matching Copic colors, then inked with an Antique Linen Distress ink pad.  The dp is from Carta Bella's So This Is Christmas collection.

Just BEE-ing Me

One full week into the new year, and I hope everyone had a great holiday season and are ready to get to creating wonderful projects.  For this week's Terrific Tuesday post for One Crazy Stamper I have a super cute card!

My card features an image and sentiment from YOUR NEXT STAMP Smiley Happy Critter Crew Set Three.  I stamped the bee on Copic X-press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with my Copic sketch markers, then added Judikins Diamond Glaze to the eyes, and Stardust Stickles to the wings for added dimension.  After fussy cutting the image I matted it with black cardstock and popped it up on the card front with pop dots.  The card front and interior feature dp from Bo Bunny's Zip-a-dee-doodle collection.  The bee's flight path was created with a black Viva Decor Pearl Pen, while the border was created by embossing a strip of black cardstock, and then highlighting the design with the jade Viva Decor Inka Gold.

Yellow - Y11, Y15, Y17
Black - 100
Wings - BG0000, BG02, RV10

Getting a Jump Start

It's a little early to start showing off Christmas cards for next year, but that's what I have for today!  I actually had this image and several others colored up and ready to make into cards early in December, but then life got in the way, and everything got put on the back burner.

This beautiful digital image is from Sugar Nellie and is entitled "TIME TOGETHER", and is one of several newer images that were released just in time for the holiday season.  I have colored the images with Copic Sketch markers, then cut and matted it using a Spellbinder die.  The dp is from Carta Bella, snowflakes are from Maya Road, sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, and the jute trim is a recent purchase from a local big box store.
I have a few other cards ready to post using the Sugar Nellie images, so stayed tuned for more!

New Year, New Challenge

Welcome to a New Year and a new challenge theme for One Crazy Stamper!

To kick off this new year, we have a wonderful sponsor for this months ANYTHING GOES challenge and that is YOUR NEXT STAMP.

My card features one of the cute images from the Smile Happy Critter Crew Set Three stamp set.  I have colored the image with Copics, then fussy cut it and adhered it to the card front.  The card front was created by first using Copic Various Refills colors BG57 and G94 on a sheet of acrylic ( re purposed from packaging from a Spellbinder ) - I randomly added dots of color to one side of the acrylic and then allowed the colors to blend together by tilting the sheet.  After the colors dried, the sheet was run through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  To finish the card front, I stamped the included sentiment and cut the talk bubble, and added buttons for bubbles.

Card Recipe
Blues - B24, B26, B29
Yellows - Y11, Y15, Y17
Oranges - YR02, YR04, YR07
Eyes - YG01
Colors on Acrylic - BG57, G94
